This webinar will take place on Zoom. Link will be sent 1 day before the event. This event will be recorded.

Two Copies of Sunday's book: Close Reading of Informational Sources  will be given away to members of the Kansas City Area Literacy Association. Make sure to specify the local chapter you are joining as Kansas City as you join the MLA.

Title: When the Reading Gets Rough: Helping Students Make Sense of Informational Sources in grades 2-8

Short Description: Do your students gloss over the tricky parts of a source? Gleaning only a superficial understanding of complex concepts or topics? Sunday will discuss how we can help students tackle these “tricky parts” with a sense of agency and identify. Specific strategies will be shared along with anecdotes and student artifacts.

Remember to join the Kansas City Area Literacy Association and thank them for hosting this event. They will be holding free and member-only events in the future.
